TODAY: Minnesota activists are joining together for a historic day of action with no work, no school, and no shopping.

They’re also asking allies across the nation to hold solidarity actions to keep the focus on ICE’s ongoing brutality and the urgency to get ICE Out For Good.
ICE Out for Good
On January 23, people across the country are taking action in solidarity with Minnesota to demand ICE out of our communities. Join the day of action.

I wonder if the regime thinks that the resistance is just going to fizzle out at some point because, really, how stubborn could Minnesotans be?

*holds finger to earpiece* okay, I've just received word that
I know people keep saying this but it’s hard to communicate the depth of active resistance here. Like, I’m on random cafes and people are checking in for observation shifts. Signs everywhere. Folks in visibility vests on the corners. It’s wild. Absolutely wild.

The 5-year-old arrested by ICE In Minnesota is detained at Dilley. We reported on conditions there in the below article.

Parents said the food was contaminated with mold and worms & that children were so under so much stress that they were hitting their own faces & wetting themselves.
Analysis by The Marshall Project of ICE data obtained by the Deportation Data Project found that the Trump administration’s revival of family detention has swept thousands of children into ICE custody. At least 3,800 children under 18, including 20 infants, have been booked since Trump took office.
ICE Threw Thousands of Kids in Detention, Many For Longer Than Court-Prescribed Limit
Former immigration staffers argue ICE is choosing to detain families for prolonged periods to speed deportations and compel them to leave.

It's hard to know if a vote is an accident or a for sure thing, but we just got our first Dem yea for HR 7147. It may be an accidental entry, or this could be the first of the moderates giving in...and as I was typing that the 2nd Dem yea got added. Also could be an accident or a real vote.

Up just in time for today's House appropriations votes. The ICE one is HR 7147, and it also includes stuff for the TSA, CBP Coast Guard, and the Secret Service. HR 7148 is the huge appropriations bill for defense, HHS, Labor, Education, Transportation, and HUD.
