Two sets of on-off splits that I think also line up with the eye test:

- Hawks had a 109.1 DRTG (very good!) with Mo Gueye on the court and it went to 134.4 (very bad) without him

- Hawks had a 72.3 ORTG (yikes!) with Keaton Wallace on the court and it went to 131.7 without him

I joke, but truthfully the Hawks do need Trae for the rest of the year. There's no point in peddling him off for pennies at the deadline.

Against playoff caliber teams, they need as many ceiling-raising/big game proven players. Trae's the only one I trust when the half court O gets bogged down.

Once heard a coach say that they were willing to give up a few back cuts in exchange for playing higher in the gaps because what they've found is that players don't really like to back cut that much & prefer to C&S or drive with the ball in their hands

I think about that a lot

We should be talking more about Zaccharie Risacher and how he’s figuring things out. Risacher is averaging 15.8 points on 54/52/78 shooting splits over his last 10 games.

Nice pick-and-pop three and LOVE the no-hesitation corner pull late in the game too. Let's go rook!
