All of these bootlegged copies of the 60 Minutes segment flooding my feed (saying, ‘Watch it quick! Before it disappears!’) makes me feel like I’m in the Soviet Union and just got some black market foreign newspaper I need to hide under a floorboard in my house.

This is where America is now

I don’t mean to sound extreme, but I don’t think we should have torture camps for people with criminal records either.

The CBS 60 Minutes Doc confirms what we knew: The U.S. is currently using our tax dollars to imprison brown people with no criminal record in torture camps overseas.

It’s no wonder administration shill Bari Weiss pulled this off the air: www.youtube.com/watch?v=tjY7...

Ok. Now had a chance to check and, well, at least some docs do appear to be straight up classic redaction fail. And there are some *interesting* bits here.

Please read @lollardfish.bsky.social’s column on what it means for all of us when the worst people in the world face zero consequences for gleefully flinging around “the r-word.” No paywall.
Perry: The return of the r-word
"These days, the r-word slur has become a staple of the American right wing, uttered with few professional or social consequences," David M. Perry writes.

Unbelievable

Pam Bondi did it again

Another batch of the Epstein files was released-in which Trump was featured prominently-but the Department of Justice promptly took them down a few hours later

Sure looks like Ro Khanna and Thomas Massie have enough evidence to hold her in contempt

Dimon on why JPMorgan Chase is not funding WH Ballroom:
We have an issue, which is anything we do, since we do a lot of contracts with governments here and around the world, we have to be very careful how anything is perceived, and also how the next DOJ is going to deal with it.

These two things are true:
1) Shooting National Guard members is horrific and criminal.
2) So is putting National Guard members in harm’s way to score political points.

RIF’ed employees in the HHS are getting letters stating that their severance is being cut before being fully paid out due to the shitdown and “lack of funding”.
Workers involved in the original RIF’s that are under the union lawsuit are getting notice that their RIF reason is being updated in their files from for poor work performance to … which means they were illegally fired.
OHCM is fucking everything up because they are under staffed and full of outsiders that were transferred there cannot use the fucking EXCEL PROGRAM that they use to calculate pay!

You read that shit right! EXCEL!

I am just going to keep posting that the TX governor recently pardoned a political murderer.

The dude texted "I'm going to shoot protestors", then went and shot a Black Lives Matter protester. He was convicted in a jury trial.

Hard to find a more blatant example of celebrating political violence.
Gov. Greg Abbott pardons Daniel Perry, veteran who killed police brutality protester in 2020
A Travis County jury sentenced Perry to 25 years in prison last year, prompting Abbott to ask the state parole board to review his case.

Think about what the GOP is revealing with their attempt to suddenly change the Congressional maps: they know their agenda is so unpopular that they're going to lose unless something changes.

Of course, what they should be changing is their policies, not the maps.
