One of my favorite moments in the Aliens movie was when they were gearing up and all of their wall lockers were full of dents.
Sci fi directors: stop making clean, polished space ships. This shit should look like you WILL accidentally catch and yank some important cords at least a few times every day.

On my daily drive, none of the 5 or 6 houses with trump signs or flags have taken them down.
Nor has the woman with a Kamala sign either.

I don’t know if this reflects what others have seen in rural areas, but it has been a noticeable glimmer to me the last couple of times I was really out in the sticks.
Definitely fair, but also my anecdata in driving around rural Maryland is that there’s a bit fewer Trump signs and the occasional “fuck Trump” (not in those words exactly) sign. Not the absolute numbers but the movement.

I fully do not understand people who enjoy shopping in TTRPGs. I can go shopping in real life. The mall is right there and I have the entire internet on my phone. Why would I also go shopping in a fictional world? That's a chore! I don't want chores, I want adventure and drama.

Why am I so against generative AI in games?
Because I simply do not want my initial reaction to art to be one of suspicion and scrutiny, AI slop is fundamentally damaging my relationship to art and artistry, and I am deeply resentful that it is forcing me to be guarded when I should be wowed.
