Any studio that says they're only using their own assets for an A.I. model is lying to you, likely intentionally.
Generative A.I. models require an insane amount of existing work to create anything that looks new and decent. Categorizing said data would take years.

The news about Cygames' genAI studio isn't just a bad look or extremely disappointing, but sets such a ridiculously bad precedent.
I know some people are cracking jokes about the predatory nature of gacha games already alluding to companies like this having no scruples, and I get it. I really do.

For my fellow Ninja Gaiden lovers, if you've never seen it, the 1991 Ninja Ryukenden OVA is a surprisingly good bit of no-nonsense action animation based on the original NES games. @kinekovideo.bsky.social did a very nice rip of the LaserDisc you can watch on YouTube!

I've brought this up constantly with friends in or outside of my local scene that still really love Blazblue, but I do constantly notice in some brackets how little people actually play into good MUs in NA and how often people get knowledge checked.
