😷 Masks aren't traumatising.
Abandonment is.
Airborne denial is.
Hospital-acquired infection is.
Long Covid and severe ME is.

The most traumatising part of the ongoing pandemic and current flu surge is the refusal to care. /14

It’s also about concerned, informed people, doing their best not to infect others.

I don’t want to be the source of someone else’s disability.
Masking isn’t about ideology. It’s about:

😷 immunocompromised children at school & their families not risking their health & lives
😷 people with Long Covid trying not to be reinfected
😷 disabled people protecting their protective system

That’s the stakes. /8

When this "AI" bubble pops, the men pretending they weren't pushing the hype, like "critics" whose position is "AGI is real but LLMs aren't the way," who were in eugenicist and "AI existential risk"🙄 circles, will get specials discussing what they saw coming, when its the women who told you so.

The Texas Supreme Court said in October that judges may decline to perform marriages based on their religious beliefs.

In response, Denise Hernández, a queer Latina judge, threw a Big Gay Wedding Party. With the @19thnews.org, we sent a fabulous photographer.

This should be literally all Dems in Congress do.

Starting January 20, 2025
Impeachment is honestly one of the simplest things a member can push.

They can write whatever (even a simple "Trump is impeached for high crimes and misdemeanors") and force a vote whenever.

Flu is airborne, Covid is airborne, & clean air prevents the spread

Ventilation & masking are very effective protections - yet these simple scientific measure are *still* not advised or adopted by health services in Ireland 😷

As we experience another bad respiratory virus season, yet another study shows that Covid infections can dysregulate our immune systems. Public health leaders need to pay attention to this.

(** I block anyone who uses the term 'airborne AIDS'. It's both clearly not that & profoundly inappropriate.)

Almost everyone I know is sick right now.

They’ve got a “bad flu” or a “nasty stomach bug”.

Almost no one will utter the word Covid.

It’s not too late to start wearing a mask.

It’s a great way to practice community care while keeping yourself healthy.

Ideally an N95 or better!

You might have sparked outbreaks and killed patients.
