Well, yes. Humanity has an undefinable quality to it, because we have unlimited potential. You cannot model data with an infinite range and attempts to define that would be inherently limiting to humanity, which is not a static macroorganism, but a growing dynamic one.
I just don't think that anybody understands what humanity is. I think the most common and most intuitive models might just be super wrong.

Police have been arguing for decades that because of their “special training”, it shouldn’t be illegal for them to run red lights even when not on a call.
100% agree. Ironically, this is the only version of "broken windows" that actually makes any sense, because it has to do with the individual behavior of one person going from getting away with small crimes to getting away with big crimes, instead of being some vague theory about general contagion.
My hottest take is that letting cops park in red zones for mundane errands and coffee breaks; I think “you can break the law at your discretion as a job perk” is the small domino that ends in the large domino of “shooting protesters in the face with rubber bullets”

If I had the resources (including energy), I’d love to do research on a concept of “anti-cultures”, such as “whiteness” that aren’t a culture so much as they erases culture to leave its practitioners disconnected and ignorant with no true core to have a healthy security and understanding of self.
