A pair of Eastern Woodlands mittens, possibly Huron-Wendat; I think they are mid-eighteenth century. Made of deer, moose hair, and porcupine quills with, as far as I know, no trade materials in their construction. Amazing patterns, and they would’ve once had a cozy fur trim on the cuffs.

Holeh! This is a commercial!? Its so charming and i would legit ve tempted to get a plush of that wolf!
insert essay here about how french animation captures all the nostalgiac sweetness and heart we all love about animated stories that we don't get much of here anymore because everything is committee driven and creators only get to make art in spite of that nowadays
Saw this adorable French animation ad and I had to share it over here! The style looks familiar but I can’t my finger on what group it is. Any ideas?

Exquisite Roman glass cup signed by master glassmaker ‘Ennion’. AD 30-70.

Ennion was the first glassmaker to ‘brand’ his work by incorporating his name into the mould’s design, some 2000 years ago!

Had a visitor to some kinda red berry bush in my yard. Was fun to watch, it munched on at least a dozen berries before fluttering off. One of those moments where being a camera nerd and having a 600mm lens in arms reach at all times paid off.

That much money financing games by actual game developers would have financed 150+ of the highest budget AAA games, and the several orders of magnitude more jobs to produce them. Instead it was burned failing to produce advertiser-safe Second Life.

A lucky day, when turtle hatchlings were reported by a roadside and they turned out to be Blandings Turtles. There is a great story about how the Blandings turtle had to hold the sun in its mouth and that is why their chins are and bottom shell is yellow.

It had been years since I had seen Otters. Which sucks cause they are fun to watch. After a hike at "The Crack" in Killarney, we stopped for Fish chips and there the otters were just off the dock. Whole team waiting for Fish and Chips left overs.

I'm still waiting for a Blu-ray release of "Coo of the Far Seas" (1993).
There is an HD master, but it's only broadcast on television in Japan occasionally.
