I dunno. I was hoping he’d stick around. He’s no real challenge to Carney, and there is no depth to the CPC benches.

His departure means a new leader who would likely be someone not currently sitting in Parliament. Someone smart. Someone charming.

Let’s keep Poilievre as long as possible 😂

The racism in the comments on Poilievre’s Facebook update about Michael Ma joining the gov’t shouldn’t shock me, but it does. And of course, no moderation happening. I won’t share the ugly comments, but here’s the post.

I’m so glad we kept this toxic, entitled, whiny manchild out of the PMO.

‘There’s no longer a heartbeat’: the couple whose twins were stillborn – and the ‘birth keeper’ they blame

Soon-to-be parents hired a woman they believed would act as a licensed midwife. But she in fact belonged to a radical society that was linked to baby deaths around the world

Summary of what happened at Temu ACIP this morning:

As expected, they overturned the 30+ year recommendation for the birth dose of HepB vaccine, which has reduced the incidence of pediatric HepB by 99%.

They provided no credible evidence to support this decision.

At the risk of being too depressing here, people can still fight their policies and elicit a change in policy (see: coal mining in the Rockies). The problem is that a significant number of Albertans support what they're doing in these cases.

We can step up, Canada, and work here on this. We have the people and no doubt the will.

So who holds our provincial government in check if they’ve somehow circumvented any way the actual people who live and reside in Alberta can fight their policies?

I don’t feel like I can forgive anyone who voted for her and her party.

Growing up evangelical I was always taught Catholics are not Christian
every sunday, from pulpits in megachurches across america, white evangelicals cry out about some imaginary persecution of christianity. but i can’t stop thinking about the pile of rosaries collected by a janitor at a border crossing or the priest turned away at the gates of the detention camp.

Not sure why people keep showing up to Johnson’s press conferences. All he says is “I don’t know, I haven’t done my homework”.

Even days later it’s still the same answer until the press is given a fresh piece of meat for Mr I play a Christian on TV to claim ignorance about his job

Where's the premier while MLAs rush through an all-night debate on stripping Albertans of their Charter rights?

An airport lounge, waiting for a flight to Saudi Arabia. She didn't even bother to show up for the vote.

I remember when conservatives turfed premiers for this level of hubris.

Every Albertan should be outraged.
Our govt just rammed thru a full on attack on our constitutional rights.
If they’ll do this to our teachers, nobody’s constitutional rights will be safe.
This cannot be allowed to stand.

In the FIVE ENTIRE MONTHS of bargaining since Alberta teachers rejected the previous contract offer, the province offered [checks notes] a free Covid shot and one additional EA per school.

This was never a real negotiation and they know it. This strike is on them. Solidarity with teachers.
