Since arriving in Brussels to run the EU's climate policy, Teresa Ribera has fought a quiet and often lonely battle to safeguard the bloc's green agenda.

Alastair MacIntyre was one of the reasons I became an academic. His explanation of tradition reshaped my thinking and my life. Unless a life is lived in terms of a grander narrative, it ceases to make sense. His life has made so many others make sense
Rest in peace MacIntyre. One of the greatest living thinkers ceased to think and gone to a well deserved rest.
