If he's not dead, he's going to run in 2028. And Republicans will line up behind it.
Trump: "I could have the most unbelievable four years -- and I guess I'm not allowed to run. I'm not sure. Is there a little something out there that I'm not allowed to run? But let's assume I was allowed to run. There's gonna be a constitutional movement."

The results of the 2024 election made clear which fork we took from Jan. 6 forward, and so we now remember the attack on the Capitol as a last chance to avoid a calamitous path that has taken us over a cliff. We haven’t hit bottom yet.

Right.

If you want a good explanation of why the American system of government worked well enough for 200 years and then suddenly stopped, it's because Republicans in Congress suddenly started letting their partisan interests COMPLETELY override their institutional interests
a lot of problems wouldn't exist if we had a congress with even an ounce of self interest
Honestly insane they didn't brief the gang of eight until it was underway

You can really tell who's listened to John Prine and who still has a treasure (and new level for comparison to contemporary writers) to discover.
I haven’t wanted to say it but YOLO.

Jesse Wells is not John Prine. He isn’t even close.

Very important to understand what we are up against.
Today, in the Sunday print NYT, we published an investigative look at Harold Hamm, the 13th child of Oklahoma sharecroppers who started an oil company named Continental, which turned him into a billionaire, powerbroker and friend of Donald J. Trump. You may never have heard of Hamm. But you should
