MCFC have been punished, twice, for egregious financial cheating (2014, 2020). They await a verdict on 115+ more counts, on which their lawyers are stalling. There is NO doubt they're a brilliant team with an all-time great manager. But they are cheats.

It's a sad indictment of what the UK has become/is becoming that Irish citizens living in the UK, often with their families, are becoming low-key nervous about pensions and benefits.
"It is hereby declared that, notwithstanding that the Republic of Ireland is not part of His Majesty’s dominions, the Republic of Ireland is not a foreign country for the purposes of any law in force in any part of the United Kingdom ..." (Ireland Act 1949, Section 2(1)).

Macron remarks are notable- some quotes: "We have been incredibly naive in entrusting our democratic space to social networks that are controlled either by large American entrepreneurs or large Chinese companies, whose interests are not at all the survival or proper functioning of our democracies."
President Macron: “Europeans, let's wake up!

We have been incredibly naive in entrusting our democratic space to social networks.”

"The president was never inappropriate with anyone."

Pardon me if I don't consider Ghislaine Maxwell, someone who used to prowl Middle Schools looking for young girls to rape, an expert on what's appropriate behavior.

It’s not weird that the president randomly made up a story about the unabomber, it’s weird that you are asking about it
asked about Trump making up a story about the unabomber, Leavitt deflects by admonishing the reporter that "with so many issues going on in the world, I'm a little bit surprised you would ask such a question"

TRUMP on EPSTEIN in 2002: “I’ve known Jeff for fifteen years. Terrific guy. He’s a lot of fun to be with. It is even said that he likes beautiful women as much as I do, and many of them are on the younger side. No doubt about it — Jeffrey enjoys his social life.”

Brilliant and succinct beat down of the tush push and the boring muppets that want it to persist.
“The core problem I have is that the play is BORING.

Things can be incredibly effective and boring as hell at the same time, and it removes so much of the goal line drama that makes a tense football game great.” - @jamesdator.bsky.social
