My favourite take on this, just in sheer absurdity, is the 2018 Robin Hood where the entire first act is shot like an Iraq War movie, complete with Saracens ambushing English longbowmen with automatic crossbow emplacements and shoulder fired scatterbows. It's such a pristine parody of the genre.

we need a moratorium on Robin Hood stuff until people remember that colours exist again. If the dominant colour of your Robin Hood film is anything other than straight up Brat Green then that should be punishable with a £100,000 fine and up to three years in jail

There are channels that I follow and like that have stopped posting normal videos and only post shorts and I've never watched a single one of them

A couple of Youtubers I watch have done videos now about how their views are way down, and how Youtube is prioritizing short form, clickbait titles/thumbnails, and "videos that start in the midst of the action" and *my god* all I hate all three of these.

I will never understand why they replaced community submitted subtitles for this nonsense
Real human people were happy and willing to make subtitles in a variety of languages for free, and the creator had full control of what submissions were used
