Trump isn't playing 4D chess, Senate Democrats aren't playing 4D chess. No one is playing 4D chess. There's not even a 4D chessboard anywhere in sight. It's just poverty and medical disaster from here as far as the eye can see.
Time to start founding more mutual aid groups I guess?

If you're asking why Trump would pardon his co-conspitators from the 2020 coup attempt when none of them faced federal charges and therfore the pardons are meaningless
Well, there will be elections in 2026 and 2028
And they were just handed a literal "get out of jail free" card

What a bunch of bullshit — voting to reopen the government based on a ‘promise’ to talk about the ACA at a later date? Unbelievable. Does anyone really think we can trust Republicans to operate in good faith? They don’t care about us & you can’t trust a word they say. Infuriating and embarrassing.

It’s such a bad idea, when one of his crimes was calling forth an insurrection, that he’s actually forbidden from holding the office by a constitutional provision, which a unanimous Supreme Court invented a way to turn off.
To repeat: Maybe electing a life-long criminal to an office where he can pardon other criminals wasn't such a good idea.
