Trump’s “enraged” that the media is giving major news coverage to what everyone sees: the age, the decline, the not so slow fade. And he can’t spin it away.

Bonus: folks online are calling him “Sleepy Don” because he keeps nodding off in meetings like it’s nap time at Mar a Lago.

Keep it up 👊🏽

To average Americans these rulings come out of the blue, because there's no oral argument and less focus on the shadow docket. And when the Court fails to explain its emergency rulings, they undermine their own legitimacy because they appear to be acting in an unprincipled way.

Simply amazing that the Supreme Court declared an end to legal race discrimination in the affirmative action case two years ago and now allows overt racism in both immigration arrests and redistricting.

Using race to help minorities? Bad. Using it to discriminate against them? Very, very good.

It's simple — @propublica.org workers should not be replaced by artificial intelligence. Our contract proposal specifically says that generative artificial intelligence ("GAI") should not be used to replace employees. Management struck out this entire section in their response to our proposal.

But this won’t hold water.

If Trump and Hegseth claim Bradley is at fault and exceeded his orders, why was Hegseth crowing about the strikes publicly and why hasn’t he removed Bradley?

The strike happened in September and witnesses claim the video made the double tap horrifyingly clear.
WAPO: “.. Officials in Congress and the Pentagon said Monday they are increasingly concerned that the Trump administration intends to scapegoat the military officer who directed U.S. forces to kill two survivors of a targeted strike ..”

WHOA. Trump says he will pardon Juan Orlando Hernandez, who once said that he wanted to “shove the drugs right up the noses of the gringos.” He had people killed as part of his narco-trafficking ring, which he at times operated directly out of his presidential office.

We spent a year investigating billionaires for @washingtonpost.com.

We found: the wealthiest 100 Americans gave $1.1 billion to influence the 2024 elections — 140x more than they did in 2000. And almost all of that giving boosted Republicans.

We took on the case of a couple who had been detained during their green card interview. This was a couple who had been married for decades and never spent a single night apart. After being detained, they were immediately separated and sent to 2 different detention centers.
Thousands and thousands of people are in this situation; giving up their cases and accepting deportation because they can't bear being in jail any longer.

In many ways, that is a major point of detention.
Don Lupe shared that one detained man who volunteered to be deported due to unbearable conditions had to wait months.

“This is a business and it is all about money,” Don Lupe said. “There are a lot of things that are inhumane. It is more beneficial for [the business] for him to be in prison.”
