My representative should be on tv showing clips of this shit to everyone every fucking night until this bullshit ends. We are being fucking abandoned by our state and federal representatives.
Today at 34 & Park in Minneapolis, a woman tried to drive down the street where a protest had broken out in front of a home ICE was raiding, saying she had a doctor apt to get to. ICE agents busted out her windows, cut off her seatbelt, and pulled her out before arresting her.

This is completely fucking unacceptable. Shut this terrorist government down until it stops brutalizing its own citizens.

If you are a Dem that cannot commit to abolishing the goddamn American Gestapo, you are not on the side of the people, you are on the side of the billionaire pedophile sex trafficking ring currently rounding up our neighbors.

Resign.

That wasn’t the question, Rep. DeLauro. It’s “do you support abolishing ICE, or at the VERY least reducing its funding?” At least one of your primary challengers does.

By reiterating a straw-man argument rather than coming out in support to reduce ICE funding, you’re making it clear where you stand

/3 Add this to the Civil Rights Division resignations and many others that have been happening this year.

DoJ and the various U.S. Attorney Offices will be increasingly staffed by people for whom all of this is just fine, who are, with the greatest respect, disproportionately witless mooks.

I worked with Joe Thompson at my first job out of law school at Jenner & Block.

Knowing Joe, this was an easy decision to resign: he would never do anything that wasn't ethical, moral, and proper as an attorney, and that's what they were ordering him to do. Brilliant guy, and a huge loss to DOJ.

Right-wingers wouldn't watch CBS News if you paid them. How did she think this was going to play out?

This is why ICE keeps walking up to people and pointing their phones at them instead of using body cams. Bodycams are there to record what's happening, but you don't look at bodycam footage while you're filming.

Phones are being used for facial recognition:

This should have been career ending, as it would be for most editors. This is almost surely at the top of list of editorial malpractice.
I wrote book reviews for a while for the WSJ well over a decade ago, and Bari Weis was my editor. One of her special tricks was to try to insert a sharp rightward slant into my essays *after* it had been copy edited, as a way of slipping her viewpoint in at the last minute.

I pulled up next to one at 10:17am yesterday an snapped a photo. By 10:27 the agents I photographed were in front of my house, along with another vehicle that met them there. It's a 10 minute drive from where I took the photo to my house - so they got the data *instantly*

Pulled up next to this guy on central going south in Columbia heights, followed him, they turned around, got on 694, crossed the river, and went straight to my house in Brooklyn center.
