I was walking my dog around my neighborhood here in Seattle the other day and I’m 95% sure I crossed paths with Ken Jennings.
Right folks. Feeling rather down at the moment so bringing back an oldie

NEW --There's this guy in the executive branch who in less than a month has already spent NEARLY 11 MILLION DOLLARS of taxpayer money playing golf.

Yet the whole thing has flown under the radar of the crack waste/fraud/abuse squad over at DOGE somehow.

This is where we are now: An elementary school at Fort Campbell has removed all books from its library that so much as *allude* to slavery or the civil rights movement.

The wholesale erasure of history in real time.

That’s a really big problem for a lot of Americans, across the political spectrum. Politics and political participation (or non participation) are seen as mere social signaling and not something that is immensely consequential that you are personally responsible for. Americans hate responsibility!
this sort of response is what i'm talking about when it comes to the lack of fucking virtue in contemporary MAGAism - this guy doesn't seem to engage in moral reflection about his role in the system, he just thinks it's a social game

I really do think part of the problem is the old bankers and ceos and plausibly sane media people are straight up too old and offline to see how degenerate and evil and insane the enemy is.

we really didn't attack the whole "all-natural" grifter industrial complex enough in the 90s and aughts
The backsliding on vaccines is awful but the backsliding on basic germ theory is grim in its own way.

Yes, it's "natural" for humans and pets to eat raw meat. It's also just as "natural" to die from the numerous pathogens in it. That's nature; nature is always trying to kill you and your pet.
