How dare the Coward in the White House undermine the bravery and sacrifice of our British troops.

Reform and Nigel Farage should be ashamed to associate themselves with him.

Trump sincerely believes Norway stole “his” Nobel Peace Prize.

That isn’t a joke. It’s the key to understanding his second presidency.

We have to drop the self-delusion, over-intellectualisation and listen to him. America is no longer Europe’s ally.

🚨 BREAKING 🚨
The UK Govt has quietly published - without announcement - the Joint Intelligence Committee/DEFRA report it suppressed last October. They tried to sneak it out in the midst of crisis. Read and share:

It’s a real shame that Nigel Farage is too unwell to do interviews the morning after Donald Trump threatens us with sanctions.

Here he is with “the bravest man he ever met”. He campaigned to make Trump President, and has spent the last year enjoying all the chaos he has caused.

We know what happens when a US President ignores international law. My friend Charles Kennedy understood what was at stake in 2003 when he stood against the Iraq war.

Unlike the Labour government, we will not look the other way.

It is not enough to simply say "I stand with the Danish PM".

What are European leaders willing to do to defend the Kingdom of Denmark from America?

1st question: will they finally agree to the French plan to station European troops in #Greenland now?
Europe has two months to decide whether it will defend Denmark from US attack
"We'll worry about Greenland in about two months" Trump says after invading Venezuela, as White House policy chief Stephen Miller's wife suggests US occupation of the Danish territory is coming "soon"

I had forgotten this, but it is consistent with Trump's efforts to pressure Zelenskyy into dangerous concessions to Putin. It should be (yet another) alarm signal to European leaders - Trump's goals in Ukraine may be the opposite of Europe's.
During Fiona Hill's testimony to Congress on Oct 14, 2019, she described how Trump and Putin discussed exchanging Ukraine for Venezuela. The quid pro quo was if Trump refuses to help Ukraine fight off a Russian invasion, Putin would not help Venezuela (a Russian ally) resist a US takeover.

Absolutely brilliant thread from @ruthdeyermond.bsky.social on Europe, Ukraine, Russia & the US (& a bit of China). Takeaways: Russia is weaker than it pretends; the US's abandonment of Europe is more lasting than we hope; & Ukraine is more crucial to European security than we realise.

The outrageous sanctioning of EU lawmakers and citizens in order to pressure democratically-elected European governments to change their laws shows just how intent the US government is on controlling Europeans' lives.

We must go into 2026 with eyes open.
The US can destroy a European's life with the swipe of a pen
This week's US sanctions against European lawmakers and privacy activists is a major escalation. And it shows the dangers of Europe relying on American economic infrastructure.

And in what may be the most troubling thing of all, it appears that the US goal is NOT to break up the Russian Federation, the clear aggressor.

Their stated goal is to break up the EUROPEAN UNION, and to interfere in the internal affairs of EU members to drive political change.

As far as I can see, this nat sec strategy is far harsher on Europe than on Russia. There is no mention of a threat from Russia or of deterrence, only that "re-establishing strategic stability" is a priority. Europe is cast as a major threat to freedom. A radical, dangerous document.
