Gonna watch the docu when I get some free time, but liking what I'm hearing so far. To the point below, the 7 Years War, while a huge catalyst for the Revolution from a financial perspective, was just as much about colonists' desire for land west of the Appalachians that Britain wouldn't allow
3) The connection to colonists' obsession with land as liberty to how they were driven from land back in Britain is new to me. These folks were landless laborers, and that economic resentment mixed with what they saw as meddling by distant lords explains so much of our current American identity.
