Love how I uprooted my whole life for someone, moved to a new state, scrambled to find a job so I could bring in at least a little money, only for that someone to say that I'm not making them enough of a priority because I work in retail and therefore work on the weekends.

It’s not even a skill issue, many working chefs and cooks eat cereal or take out when they are home. Some only eat their “family” of “shift” meal, if they are lucky enough to have one.
I see grocery/takeout shaming discourse going around again, so this is your periodic historian reminder that cooking from scratch daily while working has never been sustainable, and for millennia everyone either relied on takeout & restaurants or ate in huge households w/ big dorm-like group dining.
