I almost rebelled against Christmas this year. I was tired of the performance. Then I remembered: our ancestors didn't light fires for aesthetics. They did it to survive the long night.

I'm living with stage IV cancer partly by learning to translate my thoughts fast enough to advocate for myself. I wrote about using AI as a translator between my associative brain and medical language, and why most conflict is just dictionary wars.

Cancer is a system failure. My response: I grabbed a mechanical pencil and became the Observer. Read about the day I chose curiosity over fear, moving from Patient to Walking Observation Lab.

We know stress (cortisol) blinds the immune system, creating a biological static that hides its targets. If targeted therapy is the "magic" bullet, then vagal regulation (breathwork/music) isn't just chilling out. It's mindfully managing entropy. #neuroscience #healing #psychoneuroimmunology

People with ALK+ #lungcancer often aren’t told they can ask their GP for a Cancer Care Review.

@gatewayc.bsky.social highlights how side effects like neuropathy, weight changes & long-term bone or heart issues can be missed unless someone checks in.

So, there are studies that exposure to this over a long period of time (I'm looking at you, fellow 70s-80s kids) causes cancer. Like, mutations of genes and spontaneous generation of cancer cells. Good on the leadership at USEPA for looking out for the people. It's not the workers, it's leadership.
The EPA is starting to allow the use of pesticides containing PFAS on food. The move is part of an effort to roll back the regulation of PFAS — also known as "forever chemicals" because they don't break down easily in the environment.

In two years, Israel has killed more than 1,000 Palestinians in the occupied West Bank.

Every day, settlers attack Palestinian villages. Netanyahu & his extremist allies have one goal: annexation by force. The U.S. has enabled them.

NO MORE U.S. MILITARY AID FOR ISRAEL.

You know, here's a though. If mastrubation wasn't so damn taboo, I think a lot of young men and even adult men would be less stressed out. But they're so hell bent on abstaining. Rub one out, you'll feel better. Promise. 😘🤷‍♀️
