They have a point. America after 80+ million deportations would probably be about like being trapped in a crappy old car on a beach just before a tsunami.
An official account of the United States government is dreamposting about deporting 80+ million citizens

This is how you know they’re lying about their intentions. If their goal wasn’t suppression these bills would come with free/easy ID. But it’s always always always the opposite.

Jared Kushner, the president's son-in-law, is described as an "investor" and "developer" in this project into which more than $91 bn in US taxpayer funds are to be channeled. This is a straightforward violation of US anti-corruption legislation, as the NYC bar has noted in a report.

History, as they say, might not repeat exactly, but it certainly does rhyme
On this day in 1837, Congress renewed and expanded a rule that prohibited any discussion about the abolition of slavery. The rule remained in effect for seven years.

Refusing to acknowledge peer nations is broadly critical to Republican politics. Otherwise how can you defend Trump on COVID? Or our gun laws? Or not having universal healthcare?
Context you rarely hear: global stocks are up about 30% over the past year. U.S. stocks? Around 18%. That means American investors underperformed the world by about 12 percentage points, even while headlines called it a “fantastic year.”

Pompous and arrogant is no way to run a network
Bari Weiss just sent this Christmas Eve email to the CBS News staff about "building trust," which includes her tripling down on spiking the CECOT piece "to make sure it's comprehensive and fair."

One CBS staffer tells me: "She really has no idea how insulting she comes across."

As people comb the Epstein files for some crime they can get Trump on I’m thinking about how he was found with boxes of stolen top secret files in his possession and somehow that ended up being impossible to prosecute.

a) this is pathetic regime shit from CBS.

b) this is genuinely his dream, he would so much rather be a TV host than president.

Brett Kavanaugh (September 2025): The facts and how they relate to the law don’t matter. Assume ICE and other federal forces always act with integrity, always respect rights, and consistently impose minimal burden.

Brett Kavanaugh (December 2025): Should I not have done that? Was that wrong?
Kavanaugh in a footnote in today's opinion says "the officers must not make interior immigration stops or arrests based on race or ethnicity."

Turning Point volunteer snitches aren't just demanding that teachers allow Preacher-says-it-and-that-settles-it answers and essays; they also want to drive out teachers who demand actual work instead, which will quickly destroy the school system -- and which is probably their main goal.
Worth noting that the student admits that she just threw the thing together in 30 minutes without reading the paper she was supposed to be responding to.

Guards began beating him. Beat him until he bled. Knocked his face into the wall, broke all his teeth. No access to outdoors, no contact with relatives.

Now describing US knowledge of CECOT's torture practices, followed by footage of Trump praising those practices.
