SURELY this paramilitary force that has flagrantly ignored all laws will follow the rules because we asked them nicely to. That is all we must do, says I, the leader of the opposition.
I have always enjoyed letting people down. Disappointing them. Becoming so detached with reality that I can upset millions by just sharing my thoughts. This is why I became the Democratic Senate Minority Leader.

Asked about Minneapolis, Victor Wembanyama says, “PR has tried, but I’m not going to sit here and be politically correct.”

Then says “it’s crazy that people make it seem like … the murder of civilians is acceptable.”

If you were wondering how long sticking to workouts + diets devolves into “boy meal” which is just ground chicken, shaved Brussels and low-fat dressing in a bowl: it’s 27 days. And I’m loving it.

They’re gonna use him as a scapegoat, claim bad apple at the helm, and keep doing this with a point person who’s in front of the camera less. Don’t let them get away with anything less than a full dismantling of ICE and DHS.

If you're a sportswriter seeking Malcolm Butler this week, you should know that Ringer H'wood Bureau Chief @alansiegella.bsky.social already found him. www.theringer.com/2025/02/05/n...
The Pick Heard Round the World
Ten years ago, the Super Bowl ended in the most unlikely of ways thanks to the most unlikely of players. For Malcolm Butler, that was just the beginning of a roller-coaster career.

Stan Wawrinka Is Looking to Defy the Odds Again

something I really appreciate about Marc's work on baseball labor is how heavily he leans on history/what actually happened in discussing things like the salary cap. That perhaps sounds like something obvious, but every single time I read about *what owners actually did* in 1994, it's drops my jaw
As promised, my latest at @baseballprospectus.com is my reaction to some owners saying they're definitely going to push for a salary cap now in the wake of the Kyle Tucker deal

"For decades, college football has reflected a grim vision of life back at us. It has told us that only a few people get to win, that our fortunes in life are fixed...But that’s not why we started watching sports. We got hooked on hope and belief. For years, that seemed naive. And then Indiana won."
got fully in my feelings about Indiana winning the national championship, the greatest story in college football history.

If Indiana can do it, we can do it
If Indiana can do it, we can do it
It’s the greatest story in college football history. Maybe hope and belief aren't so naive.
