ICE has now carried out two summary executions of innocent people in the streets of an American city.

If you work for ICE, there's no denying that's the mission you're supporting now. You don't get to claim in one year or ten or twenty that you didn't know what ICE was doing. You're complicit.

Today, as we see ICE fascists target brown and Black people, beat, arrest, and kill them, deny due process of law, & we see centrist politicians respond with calls for "more training" (instead of the right answer to abolish ICE) — we remember when Dr. King, warned us about the "white moderate."

Pew Research Institute (2023):

• Red State Texas has about 2.1 million undocumented immigrants

• Red State Florida has 1.6 M undocumented immigrants

• Blue State Minnesota has 130,000.

And yet only Minnesota is being occupied by masked thugs over "immigration."

It's *not* about immigration.

The utter incompetence of ChatGPT is genuinely baffling to me because I’ve seen people ask it basic mathematical equations and it’ll pull numbers right out of its robotic ass. We’re destroying the planet for tech that can’t even do what regular computers have been able to do for decades 💀

The Walton family (who own Walmart) are worth over $400 billion, yet many of their employees are on SNAP.

Bezos is worth over $400 billion, many Amazon employees require SNAP.

The people who need help are not the problem.

It’s corporate greed. It’s an unwillingness to pay a living wage.

There is always a reason to be hopeful.

There’s always something positive we can do.

Wear a mask & show vulnerable people you care.

Boost someone’s mutual aid.

Donate to a food bank or community fridge.

Visit & support your local library.

Smile at a stranger.

Help someone else.
The dooming on this site is getting out of control. Every time you post anything about politics some rando condescendingly wonders how you can't possibly know that elections are over and all hope is lost. If you've completely lost hope, I'm sorry, but shut the fuck up, OK? You're not helping.

Just a thought: How about we stop shaming the poor for buying things that may not be essential, and start shaming the rich for making a profit off things that are essential?

I want more people to care that SNAP benefits are being cut off on November 1. 40% of SNAP beneficiaries are children. This is callous and vile.

I am completely awestruck by the ease with which Mike Johnson lies on a daily basis. I'll never understand how such a transparently fraudulent "man of faith" can live with themselves. Life is too short to be that phony.

Shit that makes me feel the most crazy is people calling AI a “research tool”. That would imply that it somehow makes research easier, but now every time I search for actual information, Google has to jump in like “Wait! Wouldn’t you like to hear from a robot that lies to you all the time first?!”

We’ve known for years that many viruses are oncogenic in nature… there’s ample evidence to suggest Covid is as well.

Yet another reason to wear a good quality mask like an N95, get boosted, clean the air and keep fighting for paid time off & better mitigations!

I hope it's clear to everyone now that Trump really is going for it - he's trying to become a dictator. I don't know if he'll succeed, but he's working to install himself as an autocrat unaccountable to voters. And he's weaponizing the military against Americans who oppose him as part of that effort

There’s a difference between anxiety and preparedness.

There’s a difference between health stress and adaptation.

Taking proactive steps to avoid repeat Covid infections is a strength.

It’s something to be applauded, not psychologized.

Constant reinfections are not sustainable.

Mask up.

If Covid were really over, or “no big deal”, masks wouldn’t anger people.

No one cared when you wore a mask before the pandemic.

People are irrationally angry at those of us still masking, because it reminds them of their failure to adapt. Of the risk they’re taking.

They can’t cope with it.

No one will tell you this, because they’re still trying to prop up the “Covid is over” narrative.

Every day we learn more about the harmful long term effects of repeat infections.
