I read a story I wrote in 2021-22 about my life in 2018, and it was eye opening.
It’s so hard to wrap my mind around how repressing my sexuality stripped me of my personhood, and how I managed to exist that way for my entire teens.
I just want to scream at him to WAKE UP, but he can’t.
Why not?

I feel like when I tell this to progressive cishet people they don’t really take it seriously. But I would not have been able to come into myself and be who I am today without having uncensored internet access as a young teen. I wouldn’t have found safety or self-acceptance nearly as quickly

I’m trying to write a memoir and I’ve been down about it bc it felt like every chapter was the same chapter - boy tries to be authentic but chooses the world over himself again.
Last night I did a one sentence summary for each of the first seven chapters and found they are actually quite varied! 🙌
