This is why we don't want businesspeople running the government. Humans are not packages. Our Constitution and rule of law more generally require DUE PROCESS. Remember that?
WP today: “We need to get better at treating this like a business,” ICE Acting Director Todd M. Lyons said at a border security conf. in April (Arizona Mirror). The administration’s goal, he said, was to deport immigrants as efficiently as Amazon moves packages: “Like Prime, but with human beings.”

The one thing I would accept with Trump's name on it if that's what it takes: universal healthcare and universal basic income.

Shopping at the thrift store or used bookstore, or even the grocery store, keeping it simple as much as possible. That's what's going on over here! There's nothing wrong with giving cookies and tea for Xmas.
Last-minute holiday shopping? You’re not alone.

But while you’re waiting in the checkout line, take a moment to notice how the Trump Administration’s disastrous economic policies have made prices soar across the board.

This statement from 18 Epstein survivors is spot on — the Trump administration is failing to follow the law by not releasing countless files and failing to redact the identities of survivors.

This is not justice.

It's only a 30-second promo but here it is if you didn't get a chance to see it.

She goes on to say people bring cultures of fraud here. That would be bringing coals to Newcastle.

One thing I love about Chicago, having just moved back here, is casually overhearing so many languages being spoken on the street. Diversity is America's real wealth.
Rep. Kat Cammarck: "Today, one in six people in the US is foreign born. That quite frankly is not sustainable to maintain a culture that we are known for here in the United States."

Immigrants commit fewer crimes.

Immigrants pay taxes.

Immigrants contribute over $2 trillion to the U.S. economy.

The problem isn't immigrants.

To the child president: If you prosecute Biden for perjury, that would be a frivolous lawsuit. It would be thrown out of court. It would also be an act of corruption since you're not in charge of the DOJ, which is an independent agency. So thank YOU for your attention to THIS matter.
Trump claims “any document” signed by Joe Biden is “hereby terminated.”

He calls out executive orders later but obviously “any document” would be much broader and include legislation.

(He can’t legally do that but, as always, we get to watch how far he can push this without repercussions)

In the Obama White House we were so careful to follow the rules, including about use of the seal (which is regulated by statute), that we ran a legal process just to see if we could use the seal for fun on our White House softball team tee shirts!

No joke. The team was called STOTUS.

The cruelty is the point.

Instead of ensuring families are fed after he refused to fund SNAP, the Trump Admin is doubling down on the harm.

They are actively trying to make it harder for people to put food on the table. It's shameful.
