Being an autistic woman in a dating climate where most men are either a. not putting in genuine effort or b. seem to have no clue how to date and actually converse with a woman (or both!) is so funny sometimes. Like, most men still have the expectation that a “good” woman is one who makes it easy

I used to have a client who was so stoked about AI, he worked in a creative tech-heavy field and had been trying to affirm its usefulness in the work to his colleagues. We talked about it a lot, I think of him and wonder how he’s doing every time I read something dystopian or distressing about AI 😕

Once again thinking about the time on Twitter where some guy was complaining about how a morning show don’t have any white people on it and I posted a picture of the morning show and it had 4 white people and one black person and the guy said “yeah but they wish they could fire the 4 white people”

Got lucky and caught the holiday metra this morning for “free”. My grandmother was/is pissed this year when the private Christmas ride tickets sold out in less than 5 minutes, she believes it was a conspiracy carried out by the metra employees to buy them all out for only their families lol

Maybe it makes perfect sense that you'd be irritable & exhausted after carrying what you've been carrying for as long as you've been carrying it. Maybe that's not a "mood disorder"-- maybe that's the normal human response to long term complex traumatic stress, not "pathology."
