Tonight we took the fam to a drive-through lights show that had a small carnival at the end. Kid2 and I went on the centrifuge ride together, and it's the first time I've been on a thrill ride since my disability really took hold. It was so much fun! And my back even felt better afterward

I have finally introduced the in-laws to funeral potatoes and they are instantly the thing they want us to bring to family gatherings.

Made this goofy goober with my kids on thewackywatch.com for their #TDACFriends thing. Just a little jelly cat.
If anyone else wants to use their tool, it doesn't work great on mobile, mine crashed twice before I switched to my PC. Kinda fun that they're encouraging fan OCs though.

I haven't been up to learning cables yet, but still wanted to play around with something new in knitting. I'm alternating knits and slips to sort of double-knit with single yarn, basically working one side each turn. I think it's going to make a stylish throw pillow cover.

My patience for brands is so close to zero anymore.
Just had a bad experience with Zenni Optical and because of some delays they're only offering 25% store credit back on a $130 pair of useless glasses.
Argue if you want if that's fair, but it's sure a strong disincentive to ever use them again.

If you use GMail, AI (Gemini) was turned on yesterday by default and now scans all of your content for machine learning. To turn off, go to Settings>General and scroll down. Uncheck the box for "Smart features."

Our beloved Alice Wong has joined the ancestors. It was one of the great honors of my life to call Alice my friend, co-author & co-conspirator. She was a true genius, a force of nature the likes of which the world has never seen before. I love you, Alice, and am equal parts grateful and devastated

Spouse did the mask/helmet construction (various foams on a cheap hard hat base) kids did sculpting, sanding and helped with assembly, and I did the cloaks in fleece (for warmth and to avoid the need to hem anything.)
I'm so pleased with how it all came out, and the kids had a great time
