Those of us who are SA survivors are used to the mass shrug in response to even the most overt evidence of horrific behavior. Epstein's crimes and the complicity of many influential figures involved have been known for decades (’05 to be exact). It's never mustered much interest or consequence.

LRP: i presumably have more exposure to the world of tech than the avg person, but based on the amount of seo ventures and ppl posting about going to cons this just seems like stuff people do

As I told Marie Claire about the Epstein case recently... “There is a lucrative industry in character assassination for hire that powerful and wealthy individuals and companies can deploy to dredge up dirt and minimise the damage of assault allegations...” bsky.app/profile/emma... The Receipts... 🧾
So I’ve had a very brief search of the Epstein database in the last half hour.

Noticed Epstein was paying for Google search result poisoning and attending hacker conferences

Elizabeth Warren and Yanis Varoufakis have each written of meeting Summers for the first time and him posing a specific, pretty odd question. I wonder how many of your scores of equally unimpressive people who wrote pieces defending him have gotten the same question and answered him differently.

yeah, I think a thing that is missing from a lot of the ayn rand-ish "up by the bootstraps" philosophy is that the golden ages of u.s. 20th century growth involved boatloads of government spending on the people, and high taxes on the rich
It’s amazing that the people who are supposed to be good at economy keep doing the things that are not what someone good at economy would do. Usually, people having homes and good health means more spending. Making them broke and homeless might work too I guess idk I’m not a president.

Thinking about how when a neo-nazi hacked Colombia and released Zohran Mamdani's application the NYT covered it as a major scandal sourced from "Colombia" and yet they were seemingly regularly receiving offers of incriminating evidence on Trump and refusing to publish it.

And Moz is crushing the dang poster setup AS IS TRADITION
It's that time of year! The @desertbus.org charity event starts this Friday and once again I'll be making the poster for it!

Every year I watch the entire week long event and add their antics to the poster over time, which you can buy!

PS the Oculus Go, the most comfortable VR headset I've ever worn, was like $200. I think the world where tech decided "the headset should be $200, and it should weigh as much as the Go, and we ship as much power as we can each year within that constraint" is the world where VR broke out of its niche
Valve has been targeting ~$1000. That's like. Worth it for diehard VRChat furries but not for casual VRChat furries. Good Place is ~$350.

PS, I notice the Frame has no top strap. That is an incredible promise. That means EITHER this thing is shockingly light, OR it will be shockingly uncomfortable.

How a flawed idea is teaching millions of kids to be poor readers
For decades, schools have taught children the strategies of struggling readers, using a theory about reading that cognitive scientists have repeatedly debunked. And many teachers and parents don't kno...

ever since I learned about three-cueing I've developed infinitely more patience for replies on social media. mfers literally do not know how to read. people are walking around conjuring random meanings into words they don't know, and they don't know a lot of words. it's crazy

Stop quoting stuff CEOs say about game development. They don't know shit. Even game devs only know about their own tiny slice of gamedev, so the suits definitely have no idea. You don't have to listen to them or debunk them, sometimes you can just be like "that's idiotic" and live on.
