Only 21-22% of images posted to Bluesky include alt text, which make images accessible to blind people and people with low vision! Please help get this percentage up. If you have any questions about what alt text should include, ask them! I will always help!

Here's a bit of a a big one going back over the past 6 months of alt-text usage on the network.

Pre-launch we were floating around 24-25%, then on launch day we dropped down to 10% (lowest I've seen)

We bounced back after that and have slowly got back to 21-22% alt-text usage.

Discard any political assessment and punditry that doesn’t properly grapple with the fact that this - an omnipresent threat of political violence against anyone perceived as an enemy of Trumpism - is the baseline reality of American politics.

Looking at you, “Stop the silly fascism talk!” camp.
It’s stunning that we just take for granted that people serving on a jury for a trial of a former President should simply expect to get avalanches of death threats from his supporters. What are we even doing here?

Update, since I rarely have good news: the Supreme Court has declined to hear Cox. The earlier ruling stands, which states:

"The Parents have the right to exercise their religious beliefs but they do not have the right to exercise them in a manner that causes physical or emotional harm to Child.”
