this is something that individual members of Congress could do tomorrow. The government is shut down so they could use their district offices. I suggested in January that they turn those offices into full on community centers where people could find each other re: mutual aid etc...
If I were running the DNC, there would be Democratic Party sponsored food relief banks across the country right now that specifically welcomed anyone regardless of party affiliation.

Agreed. Far too much confidence that “the truth will out.” The sense that the moral arc will bend on its own rather than need active and willful bending.
I think this is right, but I’m convinced the reason it happens is that most Dems/liberals (not progressives) think their policies/values etc. are self-evident and don’t need to be defended, explained, or promoted.

If Democrats and liberals are constantly messaging it doesn’t allow right wing messages to dominate and in some cases it completely overwhelms them. People arguing that this is a hopeless case are giving a pass to Democrats and the wider left for not actually trying and that sucks.

Beautiful! I would love it if a landscape photography feed became a thing on Bluesky. There are some Nature Photography feeds but it is mostly birds (which is fine), but for me I love landscapes most of all. If it exists, please point me to it.

Beautiful! I would love it if a landscape photography feed became a thing on Bluesky. There are some Nature Photography feeds but it is mostly birds (which is fine), but for me I love landscapes most of all. If it exists, please point me to it.

Agreed, and I have been thinking (along these lines) it will be important to memorialize what ACTUALLY HAPPENED and reinforce the actual facts to counteract their inevitable alternate history. Consistently. Jan 6 as the perfect example.
The most important thing going forward is that we work to maintain hold of reality because Trump is going to be flipping it upside down on the daily.
