I’m running for Congress in NY-12, my home.

We have a demented, criminal president running the country like a mob operation—government by the boss, for the boss.

We need Democratic fighters who will defend the rule of law and deliver government by the people. Join us.

Johnson tells the truth for once: Trumpers are leaving the brutal, corrupt and reviled Chavista/Maduro regime in place, abandoning the elected leaders of Venezuela, and giving the regime free rein to continue pillaging Venezuela and tormenting its people with US support, as long as Trump gets a cut.
Mike Johnson: "This is not a regime change. This is a demand for change in behavior by a regime ... we have a way of persuasion because their oil exports have been seized. That will bring the country to a new governance in very short order. We don't expect troops on the ground."

Cannot reiterate this strenuously enough: heatwaves are a public health crisis. They kill. Take action to protect yourself
And the heatwave preceding the 2009 Black Saturday fires caused 374 excess deaths, more than twice the number of people who died in the fires themselves. Heatwaves kill. Take them seriously, stay safe

One of my eternal frustrations will always be how often politicians claim to do 'realpolitik' when they are in fact just being cowards. They are not being 'realists' in appeasing the man who said he wants to annex Greenland. They're just hoping he won't do it.

Trump’s illegal attack on Venezuela and support for Maduro’s successor has emboldened the remaining members of the regime. They’re now conducting a crackdown.

The Union of Journalists and Media Workers in says at least 14 journalists were detained yesterday.

Trump: Before and after. They want to go in and they’re going to do a great job.

So what Trump’s just admitted before the entire world media is that he leaked classified military operational information that put US serving personnel lives at risk.

The pardon for Hernandez makes an obvious & absolute mockery of each & every attempt to rationalise, or even justify, Trump's treatment of Maduro. I'm not sure this single, simple point can be stressed enough. Once again, he proves his critics right & reduces his supporters to epic moral corruption.

I’m still amazed that the sub judice aspect has been ignored in the rolling media campaign for a Bondi royal commission.
In case you’ve not read about it (and why would you) I’ve written about it here:
