Very sad that I felt I had no choice but to resign from The Infinite Monkey Cage - a victory for the transphobes and other bigots - I did it because so much of the media has chosen to believe the kind and empathetic people are a fiction - they are real and so often unrepresented.

The crisis, with JioStar threatening to pull out of ICC's Indian media rights, is not rooted in Indians suddenly falling out of love with cricket. Rather, it exposes fundamental fault lines in India’s economy, governance, and the manner in which concentrated power shapes global cricket.

My piece.

We checked the data and since 2011, England have won 0 and lost 14 Tests in Australia, which is likely to become 15 tomorrow. 0-15 is literally more like a tennis score.

We are still yet to lose in Australia!

Folks, this is a good-ass piece of writing.

Matchbox 20. I like them. I have kept this opinion secret for nearly 30 years but I am going to embrace my truth. They just came on the Spotify and my heart nearly burst with joy. I don't care that it sounds like the soundtrack to Dawson's Creek.

What Klein is saying (in a perfectly overproduced video) is that he does not give a shit about anything. Nothing "means" anything. Politics is just a content trigger to write a column. Because he's reached a level of wealth and comfort where everything is just abstract fun. Like a board game.
"Much of what I would describe as Kirk's worst moments were now just standard fair MAGA Republicanism. And the leader of MAGA Republicanism is the President of the United States...we are going to have to live here with each other believing what we believe. Disagreeing in the ways we disagree."

This strange obsession with "unity" whenever a murder reveals the extent to which society is broken. The aim should instead be "the dignity of all humans" but that goal has long ago been abandoned as unattainable.
Thoughts:

It's not debating, it's shouting over people and gaslighting them so that their frustrated reactions make you go viral.

I am also very wary of people who think we should spend more time talking people out of their bigotry than helping those directly affected by their bigotry.

There’s misogyny at every level of cricket, whether you’re a fan, staff, media, player, coach, anything. It’s making women unsafe. It’s making them abandon the sport they love.

If there’s no place for this in cricket, what are you going to do about it?
