This is more or less exactly the level of total fucking incompetence I expected from Election Night onward.

While the specific incidents are hilariously randumb, the fact is that Trump chased almost every minimally competent professional away from the possibility of working in his second admin.

I was genuinely wondering how long it would take them to resort to outright fabricating legal documents in easily verifiable ways.

After all, competent people with better things to do don't work in this admin.

There might be some modestly arcane FEC disclosure guidelines being elided, that's a technical question for campaign finance law experts, but "encouraging your donors organize and spend their money in a way consistent with your mission" is just a day ending in y.
