abolish ice. theres no middle road on this and democrats will have to be held to it.
ICE detain father shopping on Christmas Eve—then steal his family's groceries.

Then 3 agents divvy up his paid for food—taking what they want for themselves.

"Can I just get the wife's number to call and let her know?" woman asks.

"No, guess he should've complied," agent says.

Workers affected by employer lockouts will also benefit from the new law.

It's funny, you never hear anyone say that you should run the police like a business...
You know what else reports a net loss every quarter? Every single police department in the country.
NEW: The U.S. Postal Service posted a net loss of $3.3 billion in this fiscal year’s second quarter mainly due to “significant challenges out of our control,” including workers’ compensation costs, Luke Grossmann, USPS chief financial officer, said at the open session of the governing board meeting

Diary of Anne Frank, January 13, 1943

These words, though written during one of the darkest chapters in human history, echo eerily in our modern world.

💔A timeless reminder of the consequences of indifference and the necessity of standing up for humanity.

it says a lot that people around the world, across religions, are mourning the Pope's death, given the reputation the Church had when he came into leadership

in 12 years, he really turned things around and that should be a lesson about leading with compassion for the most vulnerable

Kilmar Abrego Garcia is a father, a husband, and a union worker.

The Trump administration kidnapped him in an IKEA parking lot while his 5-year-old son watched in the backseat of the car.

But he should have never been taken.
Abrego Garcia's wife: "I will not stop fighting until I see my husband alive. Kilmar, if you can hear me, stay strong. God hasn't forgotten about you. Our children are asking when you will come home ... they miss their dad so much."

The possibility of abduction by a sovereign and imprisonment abroad is one criterion that separates democracies from dictatorships.

They spent the last four years telling us people who invaded the capital and beat police officers with flagpoles were unjustly persecuted civil rights heroes and now it’s taken about 45 minutes for them to be like “yeah if you write an op-ed you’re going to the blacksite that’s just common sense”

Just so we’re clear, everybody calling Kilmar Abrego Garcia a “terrorist” or a “gang member” are lying, and they know they’re lying, and they repeat it for purposes of confusing people who don’t follow this stuff closely into accepting what was done to him.

1/4. On the White House’s theory, if they abduct you, get you on a helicopter, get to international waters, shoot you in the head, and drop your corpse into the ocean, that is legal, because it is the conduct of foreign affairs.
