It's so awkward to teach kids about respectful terminology and then have to clarify that the law still says "Indian", and like... It should be awkward. That law is an active shame on Canada. But no politician seems to have the will to do the work and make a nation-to-nation restorative framework.

These people are perfectly happy to embrace hierarchies that benefit them and abuse whatever privileges they can. They only thought (pretended?) they hated the state because it said they had to pay their employees a minimum wage and send their kids to school with black kids.

His nine year sentence is too light.

People like this should be locked away forever.

I hope the ‘burden’ of being labelled a rapist follows him the rest of his life, and may this appeal ensure even more people know his name.

Other than eating well all the time (seriously, my school's food program had stuff roughly every two weeks, and more during holidays), learning about many of the holidays was a huge joy in working at a Jewish day school for 9 years. I ate so many hamantaschen, very amused by the symbolism
