It could have been set up better, but it's a reference to the government taking away old people's winter fuel payments.

Frog put the cookies in a box. “There,” he said. “Now we will not eat any more cookies.”

“But we can open the box,” said Toad.

“That is true,” said Frog.

Author and filmmaker Justine Bateman on generative AI
"They're trying to convince people they can't do the things they've been doing easily for years - to write emails, to write a presentation. Your daughter wants you to make up a bedtime story about puppies - to write that for you." We will get to the point, she says with a grim laugh, "that you will essentially become just a skin bag of organs and bones, nothing else. You won't know anything and you will be told repeatedly that you can't do it, which is the opposite of what life has to offer. Capitulating all kinds of decisions like where to go on vacation, what to wear today, who to date, what to eat.
People are already doing this. You won't have to process grief, because you'll have uploaded photos and voice messages from your mother who just died, and then she can talk to you via AI video call every day. One of the ways it's going to destroy humans, long before there's a nuclear disaster, is going to be the emotional hollowing-out of people." - author and filmmaker Justine Bateman from a piece by Emine Saner for the Guardian

Amazon have removed the guns from their Bond posters, giving the tantalising impression that Sean Connery and Pierce Brosnan think you’re a wanker.

There's a @b3ta.com newsletter coming, just working on it now and it's always a bit random how strong the 'b3ta people' section is going to be but it's weirdly strong this week. So much of it too. So subscribe now, to read the newsletter coming up to its 25th birthday b3ta.com/subscribe

People recognised as refugees fleeing persecution & granted the right to live in the UK to be denied the right to be joined safely by their spouse & children.

This Labour govt is a moral void, a stinking darkness, an empty hollow of cowardice & contempt. #r4today www.theguardian.com/uk-news/2025...

Yes, that could be good. The editing on Taskmaster doesn't get enough credit, that whole show depends on the structure and pacing that the editors give the task footage. That would be a dream job!

They are 10 years old, so probably a bit dated, but i remember there being some good stuff in there. Some definitely better than others though

Though The Shed Show was never "a tight couple of minutes", they should all be quite a lot shorter probably

The closest was editing an improv comedy series called The Shed Show. It was a lot more fun than watching political speeches! We'd love to do more of that sort of thing, using footage that's meant to be funny in the first place, and just structuring and tightening it www.youtube.com/watch?v=eA6L...

Ha, no we weren't involved in the elephant cut up, but it defintely made an impression on us.
We just nick all the footage from YouTube, and use the subtitles to find specific words. It's a long and boring process - the latest video took 3 or 4 weeks
