When a leader becomes so weak & unstable, lies need to be amplified even more. Without them his cult of personality weakens. This might be insane but it needs to be understood historically. Fascism is more than ever the main ideological precedent for Trump's lies.

A government that can officially declare that Jesus is your savior can just as easily declare the opposite.
Here’s the U.S. government being officially religious in a country with no official religion.

I want to ask the flipside question: what will it take for wealthy progressives to fund the infrastructure and entities needed to identify, support, and sustain emerging voices on *our* side of the aisle?
Anti-trans demagogue and fifth place swimmer Riley Gaines earned $470,000+ last year from a conservative non-profit.

Notably, $420k was incentive-based.

A neat little window into the way the transphobic grift is being compensated.

I wonder what the per-post rate is?

US issues visa sanctions against five European figures, with demands that boil down to Europeans can’t enforce their own laws and must give special treatment to Trump-favored tech oligarchs.

The sensible response from Europe would be a hard no, and deeper regulation enforcement. Are they up for it?
The US has issued visa sanctions against 5 people Marco Rubio called “leading figures of the global censorship-industrial complex.”

To get a flavor of what kind of war the Trump administration is waging here, you can just read the State Dept’s own descriptions of a few of the sanctioned people 👇

The AI bubble* and the fascist Trump regime are deeply intertwined, fueling each other.

If the bubble pops, it'll make the regime easier to deal with.
If the regime falls, the bubble likely goes with it.

*Bubble doesn't mean nothing of value. It means severely overinflated value and exuberance.
