If you are angry today, as I am, maybe toss the $5-6 you would have spent on a latte at your favorite coffee shop during this blizzard to the Immigrant Law Center of Minnesota.

Tangibly help the people helping protect communities in Minneapolis, rather than using anger to feed the trolls online.

As a Minnesotan: lots of dem reps were there. But, importantly, they were not the focus nor were they leading anything. This is honest to god grassroots, citizen led action. I don’t think the organizers wanted anything looking like campaigning.

Today we marched together in below zero weather. Thanks to the thousands and thousands of Minnesotans who turned out to stand up and speak out. ICE OUT.

So, all the posts sharing one Klobuchar post that is about normal life amid a sea of posts about ICE - is this an intentional op to undermine her run for governor? Or are people just knee-jerking so hard they're breaking their own noses?

b) the corollary to which is that it MATTERS WHAT WE FUCKING SAY, and if what we say is "the Democrats COULD perform word pervert wizardry, and they are choosing not to do so, and consequently do not deserve our support", that, itself, will speak a landscape of impossibility into existence

This is not a rational person. And this is deeply disturbing coming from an American President. NATO is not our enemy—they are unequivocally our closest friends and allies.

At this point, how can you not call into question the mental fitness of this President?

Taking over Greenland is not a joke. Trump is sending messages to foreign leaders and making threats that will destroy the most important alliance we have. Are Republicans in Congress and Marco Rubio really ready to throw NATO away because they’re too afraid to stand up to Trump?

This is on Republicans in the House and Senate. They have the responsibility and power to remove the Mad King.
It really is mad king stuff, untethered from reality.

He tells the Norwegian leader, you did not give me a prize that you don't control, so maybe I will invade the territory of another Scandinavian country you don't lead.

But the president of the United States is a criminally insane madman who is openly extorting the entire world and threatening war with NATO. The test is whether you’ll actually react APPROPRIATELY and PROPORTIONATELY, and our institutions have not and in fact refuse to do so.

House Democrats are in Minnesota today confronting ICE’s brutalization of American citizens.

We will hold every single one of these extremists accountable for their lawless behavior.

I will not vote to fund DHS & ICE while they are putting Americans in danger, recklessly violating laws and decency, and refusing to be held accountable for or allow any oversight of their actions.

Congress must provide checks and balances to an Administration out of control.

One of the most fundamental problems for dealing w/ ICE is the GOP provided years of ICE agent funding in the “Big Beautiful Bill.”

No govt shutdown will end that funding stream, and there aren’t 2/3s votes in each chamber to rescind the funding & override a veto.

Means resistance is what we have.

this makes no sense whatsoever.

ICE has $170 billion in no-year appropriations from the reconciliation bill that means they can keep doing this for years. law enforcement is exempt from shutdowns anyway.

the idea that a government shutdown fixes any of this is a goddamned cargo cult at this point.
not to re pick an old fight but everyone who voted yes on any budget bill or who failed to oppose it rubber stamped the funding for invading Minneapolis

I again wish to point out that it is utterly catastrophic that RFK Jr. has unilaterally ended CDC recommendations for many childhood vaccines.

It’s a betrayal of science, ethics, compassion, and the people of the United States.

And it was also a specific goal of Project 2025 (page 254).
