1000%. I don’t have metrics, but it seems clear to me that in the years leading up to 2020, software quality at big consumer-facing companies like Apple and Google was going down. There are lots of reasons for that, but none of them involved holding code until it was perfect.
also, the idea that devs never shipped out half baked shit and called it prod ready before ai is, uh, not based in reality

I’ve been watching season one of the West Wong for the first time since it aired. Many of the problems they deal with are quaint at this point. A White House official arranging to profit from stock moves connected to his job is committing a federal crime? You don’t say!

I don’t read the split as moral or principled. I read it as simply disagreeing assessments about whether Trump will retain power indefinitely or not.

Which is still good news.
No, people are not exaggerating the significance of what's going on at Heritage. We're talking massive capital flight, in every sense of the word. It will never be the same, and it will be less powerful.

Children are being exploited. Let’s respond by dramatically hindering our ability to point out or criticize children being exploited, using methods we don’t understand because we’re old and incurious.
Children are being exploited and abused because Big Tech consistently prioritizes profits over people.

This is not how stealth bombers work. It does sound a lot like the way Klingon ships in Star Trek need to de-cloak to fire weapons. Science fiction fans often say it’s about using the future to understand the present, but this is not what we mean.
Trump: "The only time anybody could see those planes was when those bomb chutes open up, because it becomes totally un-stealth. You're going in, you go like this. As soon as it goes like this, for some reason the plane is totally visible. Not good. I watched it happening. I watched it go bing bing"

The average person lived to be about 50-60 hundreds of years ago. The reason everyone fixates on the average human lifespan being 30 or 40 is because of the infant mortality rate. Half the kids didn't make it past 5; it dragged the lifespan average THAT far down.

It's ridiculously out of touch to treat "abolish ICE" as untouchable. This stuff is wildly unpopular! People hate them! It's an irredeemably rotten institutional culture of thuggery and criminality. Cutting this malignant tumor out altogether isn't just right on principle, it's a winning message.
Armed ICE agents trapped US citizens in a restaurant and demanded their papers. Federal agents walked into East African restaurants in Cedar-Riverside, MN. They closed and blocked the doors. Then they demanded to see everyone’s papers. Every person present was a US citizen.
