As an anthropology professor said to me "your brain spent millions of years evolving to be perfectly adapted to a way of life that hasn't existed for 10,000 years. You're bound to feel a little fucked up every now and then."
We’re also getting bombarded with a constant firehose of information (and “information”), sunrise to sunset, day in and day out. We were not built, from an evolutionary perspective, for ANYTHING on this scale.
I swear, i wasn't prepared for how susceptible literally everyone would be to conspiracy theories as an adult.
