On the one hand, this inspires dread. On the other hand, we watched ICE easily outsmarted by a handful of dedicated protesters last week.

As pressure mounts, they are going to get more sloppy and more impatient to meet quotas. That's not a comforting thought either.

In addition to today's raids, this is why Los Angeles is protesting. It's life or death for the people held captive.
🚨NEW: @cbsnews.com reports ICE is arresting people who can't even legally be deported and holding them without enough food or water in a federal building BASEMENT in Los Angeles.

Families dutifully attending check-ins with ICE are being arrested and held for days, forced to sleep on the floor.

What is happening to our immigrant community is heartbreaking. People trying to go through legal channels. People say get in line, do it the right way. Immigrants are being taken going to these routine check ins. In Chicago, this is happening right now.

CTA wouldn’t make an ‘L’ map of what their doomsday could look like, but I did. RTA says the CTA could reduce or close four entire lines and close or greatly reduce service at 50 stations, so here’s what killing 4 lines and 50 stations could look like.

Welcome to the future.

An important point embedded in here is this: we should ask ourselves why no mainstream news outlet thought it important enough to report on these details about ICE.
THREAD. A lot of attention is rightly going to Medicaid cuts and other very bad things in Trump's bill passed by the House, but there's something else that isn't getting enough attention, that is very difficult to find in any news coverage, but that will fundamentally alter life for all of us.
