Yes! This has been bothering me, even though I generally prefer to engage with shows on their own terms (i.e. with my brain turned off)!
Also, maybe a more prosaic concern, but the result is most of the actors doing a not-great job at their assigned accent, which is annoyingly jarring.

No-one has ever been able to replicate Gregor Mendel's observations of pea plants. They're a little "too perfect", lacking even random statistical noise that would have been expected from small sample sizes.
