One of my least favorite things ever is how we have made bullying and ostracizing people the status quo who are clearly autistic and the worst part is it's coming from OTHER people on the spectrum.

I have autism and seen it. You're harassing people who struggle to defend themselves. It's pathetic.

you're not "highly sensitive" - you're autistic.

you're not a "high potentialite" - you're autistic.

you're not a "starseed" - you're autistic.

and if you're not - stop appropriating autism as your personality while oppressing autistic people.

SAY AUTISTIC.

We didn’t “lose skills.”

We lost access to energy that was being siphoned off by masking, fear, and hypervigilance.

Capacity doesn’t disappear randomly - it’s spent.

Autistic Burnout reveals what was never actually sustainable, only demanded.

Those that return are authentically ours.

I'd better not see anyone defending the Democrats in the Epstein files. We should all be able to agree associating with Jeffrey Epstein is gross and evil, right? So *everyone* in there from Trump on down needs to be launched into the sun, agreed?

All of them.

People think being disabled is like being on vacation

They say “you’re lucky! I wish I didn’t have to work!”

Most of us would love to work. We would love to get out of bed. We would love to not be forced into legislated poverty

Imagine your worst sick day on repeat forever

That’s chronic illness

Part of the reason we're in this deep into fascism is centrists' resistance to admitting that the "alarmists" were right.

a lot of “high support” need autistics can do better if they have all their needs met and have safety and relief from stress and poverty.

but so many of us, never ever will get this because society does not care about us . it barely cares about Neurotypical people.

yes and many people moved away from using those levels in the DSM because it’s not helpful.

it erases the challenges that “lower support” people deal with to succeed and stigmatizes the high support people more. We are stronger united; realizing people’s needs and abilities fluctuate in time
