Congratulations to all the Democratic candidates who won tonight. It’s a reminder that when we come together around strong, forward-looking leaders who care about the issues that matter, we can win. We’ve still got plenty of work to do, but the future looks a little bit brighter.

I’ve been asked quite a lot over the years about how I remain calm when responding to trolls and bad actors. Some day I’ll do a bigger write up, but one of the biggest things that has helped me a lot is to remember:

“When you’re easily offended, you’re easily manipulated.”

🔲 Four Corners was rewritten in Swift—it's the first Swift game in Catalog. Read our interview with the developer to find out how that came about:

The year I was born. we basically had no idea why cancers happened and now we understand the underlying force behind it with 100% clarity and the molecular forces behind it with many orders of magnitude more resolution.

We were entirely in the dark, and now the room is lit.

As a millennial there are two things I haven't heard about in a long while: The ozone layer, and second hand smoke.

I think it's good to remember those, and know that problems are solvable.

It just takes leadership to do so. If any leader tells you it's not possible, they're willingly incompetent.

“In Finland, the number of homeless people has fallen sharply. Those affected receive a small apartment & counselling with no preconditions. 4 out of 5 people affected make their way back into a stable life. And all this is CHEAPER than accepting homelessness.”

It costs a lot less to house people.

The world would be a way better place if more people had this approach about harmless popular things that they personally do not enjoy.
I’ve never enjoyed a Kojima game but I love that he exists and I wish the industry had more Kojimas

He seems to be the only one who gets a big budget to make extremely personally ambitious games

I get vicariously excited about his shit both from the enjoyers and from imagining myself in his shoes

I see people saying this sort of thing often, and quite frankly it makes me sad. The truth is, more people are making good adventure games now than were ever made during the “golden age” of the 90s. For example: 🧵

This a delightful read.

Could this be the most uniquely American signage font? I don’t remember seeing it on signage in London, Madrid, Paris, nor Berlin.

When I see Gorton, it gives me this unspeakable feeling of “Ah, yes, I now live in a different continent than the one I grew up in.”
I think every designer should write a love letter to a font at least once in their lifetime.

This is mine: A 150-year-old font you have likely never heard of, and one you probably saw earlier today.

The correct way of handlin antagonizing parties is to block. Not reply. Not dunk. Not mute. Block. It stops their reach and effectiveness right there.

I don’t buy physical games anymore, but I had a game collecting phase, and this would have been invaluable. Tons of fakes on eBay! It seems specially prevalent on GBA.
I made these images a while back in the hopes I could help people when shopping for GBA games. I want them to be able to look out for games that could be repros. This is not an exhaustive list but here are a few tips. Hope you find this info useful!
