This year we'll give up 4% of all our revenue. 1% goes to staff on top of salary and bonus. 3% to good causes. It's viable and everyone does well.

It's not marketing. It's an attempt to show what is currently accepted as necessary for globocorps to survive is nonsense. If you need coffee imbibe.ie

“Reduce exposure to a hostile US.” Instead, Europe is selling its soul.
“Europe is risking its political soul. It has put itself in a situation in which leaders cannot say publicly what they are actually trying to do. That is a recipe for distrust and a poison for democracy”

This…we in Ireland have also suffered these colonial tactics, even long before the Great Hunger of 1845:
Israel's engineered famine in Gaza is only the latest episode in a long and dark history, from Ireland to north America, of colonial regimes using enforced starvation as a weapon of war against Indigenous peoples, to drive them out and steal their lands.

European leaders continue to disgrace themselves in their refusal to act against Israel. Friedrich Merz wants a “fact finding mission” as Israel starves and murders Palestinians by the dozen every day.

Pressure piles on Merz to punish Israel over Gaza
The German chancellor is increasingly isolated among Europe’s big beasts for refusing to endorse a Brussels plan to suspend EU research ties with Israel.

The EU risks losing a whole generation due to its failure to act on Gaza. And now this… too slow, too short-term.
'He’s the bully in the schoolyard and we didn’t join others in standing up to him,' said one diplomat. 'Those who don’t hang together get hanged separately.' https://on.ft.com/3H6pI4r

Shame on us all.
Meaningless unless backed up with action. EU has tools at its disposal. Use them.
Civilians cannot be targets. Never.

The images from Gaza are unbearable.

The EU reiterates its call for the free, safe and swift flow of humanitarian aid.

And for the full respect of international and humanitarian law.

No humanitarian or commercial supplies have entered Gaza for nearly two months.

Food stocks are running out. Aid remains stuck outside Gaza, ready to move.

UNRWA and partners have lifesaving assistance waiting at the borders.

Border crossings must reopen. People in Gaza cannot wait any longer.

“Trade not aid” gets punched in the face.
Cambodia was hit by a tariff of 49%. Madagascar - 47%.
Lesotho - in southern Africa - has a 50% tariff - the highest of any country. This could devastate the economy of a small, impoverished nation that relies on exports of clothes.

And - no surprise, those oversized tanks kill more people.
Yeah pretty stark graphs.
Less carspreading = less killing.
New analysis of relationship between car weight and fatal collision rates in the UK finds “ppl driving heavier cars are disproportionately involved in more fatal collisions”.

Particularly the case for those involving other cars or pedestrians.
