🧵In my expert opinion as a researcher of vehicle ramming attacks, what has been publicly described in the video evidence does not support the claim that Renee Nicole Good was attempting a deliberate ramming attack when she was shot in Minneapolis on January 7, 2026. 1/7

I've watched thousands of videos from the Jan. 6 riot as part of NPR's reporting and archive project on that day.

Here are some of the lesser known videos that have really stuck with me.

Democrats need to grow a f*cking spine.

No more strongly worded letters. It’s time to draft articles of impeachment.

Right-wing influencers made up that Democrats celebrated Charlie Kirk’s murder, and tried an up-is-down lie that they’d never celebrate political violence, then Trump smashed though that Kool Aid Man style—as per his wont—so the influencers are now pretending that’s unusual and that they dislike it.

Next week the House E&C Committee is looking to run something of a shock and awe campaign, debating at least 19 bills that they say are related to "protecting kids online." Most of which are actually about censorship and control. Don't buy the framing. It's always the same damn thing.

Gee, who would've guessed that a judiciary completely corrupted by political influence would rule clearly on political lines.
🚨2-1 panel of the 9th Circuit (2 Trump vs 1 Clinton appointee) permits Trump to deploy the National Guard in Portland.

The majority opinion finds that Trump properly considered the situation from June through September, and declares the ICE protests disruptive enough to call out the Guard.
Meanwhile, the 9th U.S. Circuit Court of Appeals has granted the Trump administration's motion for a stay in Oregon v. Trump, regarding National Guard deployment in Portland.

So then, if they move quickly enough, once they rendition people to Ghana, they're untouchable. They now have a funnel to ship out any "undesirables" they want with impunity.
BREAKING: Judge Chutkan denies emergency relief to men the Trump admin sent to Ghana who appear likely to be—and one already has been—sent to countries where they face persecution or torture and where the U.S. could not have sent them directly.

She finds she lacks jurisdiction to order the relief.
