Lot of days I miss my colleagues at Patriot Act. Today especially. Would've been an incredible Wednesday to walk into that office.

Wrote about the real people who spent money and time and hope coming to Arizona for the Charlie Kirk memorial. Decent people simply inhabit a different reality from what Trump and Steven Miller pedaled

Trump turned an outpouring of respect for Kirk into a coliseum of hate
The throngs who braved heat, darkness and expense to mourn Charlie Kirk were rewarded with grotesque MAGA saber-rattling.

I am not an economist but at a guess, I think this comes from the interplay between “massive tax on imported produce” and “randomly grab the people who pick crops in the US and put them in concentration camps” 🤔
ICYMI, the eye-popper in today's PPI: a 39% rise in wholesale fresh vegetable prices.

It's the largest month-on-month increase ever recorded in the summer (data to 1947), and one of the ten largest ever, regardless of season.

we need a word that means "a constituent component of burnout."

it should be separate from work at large. some work is fulfilling, invigorating.

other days are full of [thing that accumulates to burn you out]. best I got is "sludgework." suggestions welcome.
