By the way, for those of you not in MN: Homan’s strategy was to withdraw some agents, so it felt like we were in the denouement of the crisis, and then escalate hard against observers. They’re being incredibly aggressive with observers now. National media may not want to check out just yet

THANK YOU. And, yes. Always. And, that's absolutely part of the point. You (generally) don't need to look. But, you can — and should be able to do so. Sources that don't give you that option are failing to do proper journalism in this moment. www.lawdork.com/subscribe
I don't always look at the links, but your determination to always provide them with your commentary is worth the subscription on its own. I know of no more reliable provider of the primary sources.

Folds on the Kennedy Center 3 weeks ago: I was sick to my stomach when I quit because I knew they were going to run it into the ground. No one that they were appointing had any experience in arts administration, but that was never the point. The point was to take that, run over it, and move on.

A reminder that the Kennedy Center is the literal and legal and congressional designated presidential memorial to JFK. This would be like Trump tearing down the Lincoln Memorial to build something “better.”
He’s going to tear it down

Target called the police on peaceful Minnesotans today, telling us we were on private property.

But when ICE comes to brutalize and abduct people in their stores, Target says it’s public space and can’t stop it.

Target needs to decide - do they stand with Minnesotans, or masked abductors? #ICEOut

The Trump Admin just arrested Don Lemon for daring to do journalism in the Trump era.

Don is a friend and colleague. He’s a fearless truth-teller and good person.

This is an outrageously authoritarian attack on the First Amendment. It’s intimidation. We all have to stand up.

The federal presence in Minnesota has been especially tough on our local businesses.

Choosing to shop local, grab takeout, or visit a neighborhood store is one way we can stand with our neighbors and continue to show the nation what it means to respond with care and decency.
