📸 Thank you to Vicky Stephenson for capturing these Kelvin-Helmholtz clouds off the Ruahine ranges a couple of weeks ago.
ℹ️ Kelvin Helmholtz clouds form when faster-moving air "scoops" at the surface of cloud in a slower-moving air layer, creating waves 🌊

You want good costume and character design? Learn costume history
You want good armor designs? Check real armor sets at museums

Humanity did not spent centuries developing fashion and incredible armor-making techniques for an AI to regurgitate a bunch of pics for a moodboard

IBM's "A computer can never be held accountable, therefore a computer must never make a management decision" was from 1979. That was 47 years ago.

That was before AOL, the Macarena, and Google.

Half a century ago it was considered obvious that CEO's would deflect blame from themselves onto "AI"
If you're reporting on the deepfake porn site because of Grok, please make clear in the headline that governments not acting are allowing the scaled abuse of women and children online.

Don't say Grok is doing that harm. Grok isn't doing anything. It's human men who are doing these things.

2025 was a year. 2026 will also be a year, and I'll just keep on keeping on with my lil' wasp waisted mecha~

Never have I regretted a decision to paint a kit more in my life. But the results are WAY worth it.

Extremely happy with the turn out on this one.

Good thread about junk science. In 2018 I was part of a team that exonerated a man in CA who had been convicted based on false microscopic hair comparison analysis. Spent 15 years incarcerated because of junk science
Reminder that years ago it was found out that the FBI straight up made up a whole bunch of fake forensic sciences, plural. People have gone to jail and been executed due to literally pseudoscience.

Hair forensics, for instance, is totally nonsense.

They admitted it.

: drags out the drum labeled "venture capital is a financial project to appropriate and privatize communal savings vehicles under the guise of 'institutional investment' while socializing and devolving risk and has been since ~1976" and bangs it was gesturing aggressively at this thread :
These ridiculous mega-projects like "datacenters in space" (doomed by thermodynamics) make a LOT more sense when you realize they're massive Ponzi schemes designed to transfer wealth from pension funds to VC's through "fee stacking."

It's the old Assets Under Management con. It should be illegal.
